About Raleigh Kennel Club
The Raleigh
Kennel Club, Raleigh, North Carolina, is a non-profit, all-breed dog club established
in 1953 with the objective to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs.
The club is involved in public education relating to dogs and to responsible dog ownership.
Our members share a love of dogs and donate their time and effort to support our canine companions. Financial
support is offered by the club to the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine, to our local law enforcement canine
organizations, and to other organizations and programs dedicated to the interests of dogs.
The club is involved in legislation concerning dogs and dog ownership. The
Raleigh Kennel Club sponsors two dog shows held at
the NC state fairgrounds per year, participates in the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, sponsors
canine training classes and other dog related events.
